Thatโs where Halls Life comes in โ a dedicated team of live-in staff who help make your hall of residence more than just a place to sleep. Itโs about creating a supportive, friendly, and inclusive community youโll be glad to call home ๐ซ.
๐ Whoโs In the Halls Life Team?
Each undergraduate hall has its own Halls Life team, made up of people who really understand student life โ most of them are postgrads at the Uni ๐. Youโll have a Halls Life Coordinator (your Warden), a group of Assistant Wardens, and in larger halls, a Deputy Warden too.
Theyโre your go-to people for all things community, wellbeing, and day-to-day life in halls ๐ฌ.
๐ What Do They Do?
The Halls Life team is here to help you settle in, feel supported, and make the most of your time in residence. They:
- Run events and social activities ๐
- Offer drop-in sessions if you ever want to chat ๐๏ธ
- Provide wellbeing support when you need it ๐ง ๐
They also work closely with residents, the student-led hall committee, and the residential and catering teams to build a strong sense of hall identity โ helping you feel connected and included from day one ๐ฑ.

Life doesnโt stop at 5pm, and neither does Halls Life. Every hall has a member of staff available 24/7 โ so no matter what time of day or night ๐, thereโs always someone around to help if you need it.
