โฟ Disability Team
If you have a disability, long-term health condition, mental health difficulty, or specific learning difference (like dyslexia), we are here to help you succeed and feel supported throughout your studies, ensuring equal access to education and university life.
Youโll liaise with a Disability Adviser to create a support plan based on your needs. This could include extra time in exams, access to lecture materials e.g. slides or recordings in advance, and assistive technology, such as screen readers. We can also advise on eligibility and support an application to Disabled Studentsโ Allowance (DSA).
We assist in navigating Uni life by working with lecturers and other departments (like Accommodation or other teams in Student Support).
If required we can assist in creating a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP), refer you to our Assistive technology specialised, mental health team, counselling therapy, or wellbeing support.
