Perfectionism – Friend or Foe?

There’s a good chance that if you’re studying here at St. Andrews, you have some perfectionist tendencies. But – perfectionism is also associated with difficulties with mood and with poor mental health. It can lead us to hold impossible standards that can wreak havoc with our self-esteem, impact our relationships and undermine our physical health.
